More on problems with 0.90 - smokeonit

i get up to 2Mbyte/sec, my 16Mbit ADSL2+ speed limit with good torrents that have seeders that are able to upload @ those data rates...

them ost important thing is to cap your own upload bandwidth @ 2/3 of the maximum upload bandwidth! if you upload more than that you will very likely choke your DSL/Cable connection since the data overhead is 10-30% of the data. the limit is for the data only, not the tcp/ip overhead!

also you have to check if your port is open, the last option in the transmission preferences. if it is not forwarded correctly the signal will be red and you need to make changes to your router... if your router supports UPnP enable it and transmission is able to tell your router the port# that it needs forwarded via UPnP...

there so much stuff that can go wrong with the bandwidth, it's not fair to blame transmission since i have no problems with it, actually i love transmission for it's awesome performance in terms of speediness of transfers!!!
