I reported this as a bug waaay back when MacOS X first came out -- what would that be, PS 7?
The last Photoshop I bought was PS8 -- the first CS version. With CS2, they put "phone home" authorization in, and I refuse to buy anything from a company that treats its customers like criminals.
Then I got Aperture, and am mostly happy as a clam. It doesn't totally replace Photoshop, but as a photographer, it replaces about 85% of what I formerly used Photoshop for.
Adobe wants to be Microsoft when it grows up. Just Say No to monopolies.
