I only use iWeb to publish slideshows from iPhoto, etc, and I've never had a problem with the program. It's limitations should be obvious and I think people who need extensive control over their layouts, etc, should use a more appropriate tool. Dreamweaver comes to mind. The writing is on the wall for traditional HTML tables anyway, and CSS-based tables will take their place. I'm surprised that iWeb 2 doesn't support traditional tables, though, at least for legacy code and whining customers.

Yup, iWeb '08 is a prize piece of crap. Both my MBP and new iMac have '08 and all my '06 photos have gone (though I can still view online) - only the stuff added recently works. It tells me there are missing fonts to install (Oh yeah, where from?) and that I should put the photos on there again manually. Wrong answer. I will not spend another 15 hours recreating the damn thing when I was happy with it as it was.I have moved to Rapidweaver and will not be wasting any more time on that junk.

As a matter of interest, how did you do that on iWeb 1? I'm still using that program and can't see a way to create tables. But would love to.Reply to This
