I'm a fully paid up user so I've got no beef with any trial stuff. I will however say that the solution of starting up a whole new user account just to try out some software is completely unacceptable.
Your software could look at it's hidden file (or whatever) and figure out if it has been tested previously, then make sure something like 2 weeks has passed after the previous demo expiration date before re-enabling another demo or something. This would prevent users from running a fully functional demo indefinitely and allow them to try the software again when whatever they didn't like about it in the first place got fixed.
