Never worked? Really?Sure, Flash is painfully slow and cpu intensive, but it's always worked for me on my G5, and all other machines.

Adobe Flash Player - kent1
HiYou must be doing something wrong somehow?
Apart from the last version which was a disaster, I have never had any problems and all my sites play video really well now.
Did you uninstall the previous version and repair permissions before and after? Did the installer take you to the Adobe web site to inform you that it was installed correctly?
Both of the above seem to be critical. I suggest you run TTPro or DiskWarrior on your directory, and then go thru the above procedure.
If all else fails, do an archive and install, it usually clears up my problems and is not that hard to do.
Unfortunately, so many sites now use Flash, it has become a necessity to have it installed.
Hope this helps,
Ken

PSre my last comments, it should work with all browsers as the plug- in is in Hard Disk/Library/Internet Plug-Ins and serves them all
In Safari and Camino it shows a reference to that plug-in in the Installed Plug-Ins in the Help menu Flash (R) Player V9.0 r64.
I am using Firefox 2.0.0.7 but I cannot see where to look for Installed Plug-Ins

Perhaps you should check your plug-ins in Safari (if that's what you use); because I've never had a problem with Flash Player, though it was much smaller and ran better before Adobe bought it. My PowerBook G4 also runs Shockwave without problems; but it has problems with the code in a game now & then. Also, Safari won't run the code (I forgot its name) used to create 3D online games. Flash has always run fine.Reply to This
