Sad day- - undirheimar

The compiled cups file is no longer available, I wonder if Apple has taken it down, considering that CUPS developer recently this year was contracted by Apple.

Any chances of having the binary compiled package for CUPS 1.30 distributed via Rapidshare or any other filesharing website ?

Thanks in advance :)

Sad day- - Don10

Perhaps this is why?

"We are no longer providing binaries for Mac OS X since CUPS 1.3.x is not fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.x. You can compile and install CUPS 1.3.x from source, however most of the GUI administration tools provided in Mac OS X will no longer work."...http://www.cups.org/software.php?VERSION=1.3.0

No Binaries - jimg16

Interesting -- Apple now owns CUPS yet version 3 is NOT fully compatible with 10.4. Go figure. See this page:

Re-Uploaded correct binary. - A. Nony Mouse

Ok- so according to the rules of distribution (*read GPL*) the way I distro'd the last Binary was wrong. I didn't include the usual mishmash of information included in CUPS distros. I've fixed that and reposted the correct 1.3.0 distro- read carefully!! Apple HAS stamped this distro which limits us to a degree. Also I built this on an Intel Mac and have no way of testing under PPC. Restart after install - printers may be lost. Reset Print System under Printer Setup Utility if needed.

I am not Apple and not working on the CUPS team so if there are problems they must be addressed using the methods supplied by them. I just did the compiling and hosting. (YIKES! There goes the bandwidth)
