I always had just locked the com.adobe.acrobat.sh.plist file in my Preferences before doing delocalization; that's the "Self Healing" check file. By locking it, it never flagged that the application packages were changed. Problem solved, as all the Self Healing thing does is tell me if the package changed; stopping it does not affect other functionality.
