There is no OSX Printer utility. If you are referring to the icon in the Printer Setup Utility, then you need to install the actual print driver for your brand of printer. Epson printers, for example, require you switch to their own driver before you can use the Epson Utility. If you have an Intel Mac you can find newer Intel versions of the drivers on their web site. Without an Intel print driver for your printer, you will not have access to the utility, since there is no Universal and the PPC version won't launch. I assume a similar situation for other brands of printers. This issue doesn't really have anything to do with Gutenprint.
