They are still making it because it is going to be in the next OS and they are releasing improvements as they make them. I'm guessing and hoping that in the new OS it will be well implemented and most or all of the kinks will be worked out?Wednesday, August 08 2007 @ 05:23 PM PDT

Guys, believe me, Bootcamp is STILL way better than Fusion or Parallels when it comes to graphic card performance. I use Solidworks CAD on XP. I also have VMware Fusion and Boot Camp. Fusion is very, very good when I don't have to tax the graphics too hard but when models become complex, it soon fails. OTOH, the graphics drivers in Bootcamp are really superb, and the models, even when running assemblies of 4000+ parts behave really very well (even looking 'photographic')- considering that the ATI card is not recommended by Solidworks- which says a lot for the Apple driver programming. Until Fusion and Parallels sort the accelerated graphics performance out in their respective software, Apple Boot Camp is still the Boss!Wednesday, August 15 2007 @ 11:41 AM PDT

What are the advantages between all 3? (P,V,BC)All 3 of them are 4 star in most ratings
It sounds like VMFusion uses both cores on the CPU exclusively.
Still, if BC is 4 star in beta 1.4, it may make 4.5 stars by the time Leopard comes out later this month.

I think it's good they still make it, especially for the gamer. Booting directly into Windows instead of a virtualization program allows more resources for the game allowing it to run better.Reply to This
