Man, Do I Miss Global Village - Nohjnogias
I could not agree more with the expressed sentiment. Global Village Fax software was so incredibly easy to use that I almost think it was a dream. Remember how one just hit the "Shift" key and "Print" to automatically launch a fax. Someone could make a small fortune if they ported that to OSX with one of those little Fujitsu Scanners, huh? It was so easy to use that newer fax software is laughably "obsolete" by comparison.Sunday, November 08 2009 @ 01:00 PM PST

I agree 200% with this comment. Global Village Fax was the greatest fax program ever on the Mac. PageSender is trying but not coming close.I have been using PageSender for a while and the support team is great. Recently they helped me fix an issue with Norton, because PageSender kept opening a random port. They told me how of to use the terminal so it is always the same port which is opened. There is also this annoying problem where PageSender do not quit when doing a restart or shutdown. I have to force quit PageSender. Recently, I cannot fax from Word or Excel. I get the spinning wheel. At one point, I completely removed PageSender and used the built-in fax software. To send it was fine. However to receive there is no notification. So a fax could be there for months and you would not notice except by going inside the faxes folder.
