"Spending time with his family" is a PC euphemism for indicating someone got fired for cause. I trust that's not the case with our developer!!

Log viewer - Stimpson

Maybe the chat-window doesn't show where you left off, but there is a log viewer where you can search through all your chatsession. So you can always find what you previously talked about.
