Features - gloomster

You should pair your mac with remote, so it will react to one specific remote. [ http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302545 ]

Disarn with keyboard - mi3key

1.) Your "iAlertU" password silences the alarm and disarms your Mac.

2.) You should "Pair" your remote w/ your Mac even if you don't use this program, I've accidentally launched Front Row on nearby Macs with my remote when the owners hadn't taken this security precaution.

Features - Lepton

Mac OSX has a feature that lets you "pair" your remote with the computer so it will only respond to your remote instead of just any remote. In Leopard it is in System Preferences > Security > General.
