No, the developer doesn't seem to be around anymore. I think the free online unit converters like Google's (http://www.google.com/help/features.html#calculator) and Conversion's (http://www.onlineconversion.com) have about put him out of business.

I am not sure of the value of putting out updates if you wont speak to your customers when they request support.
