Caveat Emptor! avoid Intego virusbarrier - Wm. Cerniuk

What sort of settings did you use? In particular, what permissions were the issue (where and the disagreement on settings) I have been running it for years without issue. In fact, I commonly forget I am running it.

Caveat Emptor! avoid Intego virusbarrier - NO!!!!!

Some thing is not right here - I would suggest there are other "issues" in play - I run over 100 seats of VBX4 on every model of Mac made in the last 6 years and I haven't seen this particular issue - Plenty of other issues that require VBX4 to be reinstalled now and then on the odd computer but not this one - VBX4 actually has improved a lot over the last 2 years - I have found nothing on OS X that comes near to it. - I would suggest 2 things - Install it on another computer to see if it dose the same thing - If not the issue is with the original computer - An Archive and install may be necessary.

A loss for you - macmacperson

I have confidence in VB, as do others here. Frankly, if VB people had told me there was a temporary security problem with permissions via DiskUtility, I may be inclined to listen to them not to tell them it's the "wrong answer". Your failure to use VB is a loss for you, IMO. What did you install instead? Nothing?
