Actually, "Prices start at € 1.295 (plus tax)", so it could be even more pricey. At +/- $1,755, it really would only be an "affordable, powerful and user-friendly application(s)" to their target audience, which is "the broadcasting industry", and NOT the general public. My first reaction was, "Are they crazy?", but we have to consider that VersionTracker posts ALL levels of software, even high-end, limited-market, ones. Oh, and no, I won't be considering a copy at that price. ;-)

@ Cha Ching - Conversion - metryq1

The practice in Europe is to use commas and decimals in the reverse order of that used in the US. Based on today's conversion rates that would be $1,787.

"Aja TV" software is included with Aja's hardware. The player does not have a list or scheduling feature. A free app like BitPlayer can output through an Aja card -- including the alpha channel feature -- but it does not seem to be able to deliver interlacing like Aja TV.
