well, you could install a VNC server on the toaster and a client on your mac. or, if you want to spend some money you can buy Apple Remote Deskktop or Timbuktu, though i think that you should wait until leopard is out: it will have basic ARD features bundled (and it will also be able to control a Tiger system).

Anybody know that Mac OS X is only suitable for appliances like Washing Machines and Toilets.The washer to clean all the Bugs out and the Toilet to flush OS X down the drain.
