Disk eject doesn't work - rsieben1

try holding down the eject key longer. Apparently Apple has added a delay to avoid inadvertent disc ejects when the key is accidentally hit.

Disk eject doesn't work - houdini100

Apple discussions pointed out that you now have to hold the keyboard eject key down for the eject disk to work. It's a new 'feature'.

Applies to the "restart" dialog too - slurslee

You must also hold down the eject key when using ctrl-eject to bring up the restart/shutdown/sleep dialog.

Very good idea - I'm always knocking the eject key on my G5 keyboard - Thanks Apple
