Well, I've written a couple of times, asking some questions and from what I heard, the program will actually use two or three discs (of the same backed-up material) and restore a "good copy" from the deteriorated three other discs. So, from what I hear of "disc rot", this program sounds like a pretty good deal, because if you back up two or three identical DVDs and they all three deteriorate (in slightly different places on the disc), then you can get all three to contribute to making a 100% accurate original copy again. That sounds pretty good to me, actually.
As far as the price is concerned, I'm thinking about the "priceless" aspect of losing all of one's photos, even when, maybe, two or three identical DVDs are used for backups, but ten years later, they all have varying amounts of "disc rot" in them and you can't get even 20% or more of the original photos off the DVDs, even with the three identical backups...
That part sounds pretty good to me, too. I'm going to give it a try.
