Note - Coriolis Systems

We can't find any record of anyone with your name in our customer database, or for that matter in our support system. If you have purchased from us, and have a problem with the product, please contact technical support, who may be able to help.

If you have downloaded a pirated version of our software, please note that:

  • Software piracy is illegal. It may be a civil rather than a criminal offence (depending on your local laws), but it is still stealing in exactly the same way as stealing a photographer's photographs or an author's words.
  • Some of the versions being distributed on the pirate sites contain serious bugs, which were fixed for paying customers. Oddly enough, we don't release fixes to the pirate community, nor do we provide support or take any responsibility for those copies. You didn't get them from us, and if you have a complaint it is against the people who illegally distributed it to you.
  • All of the above applies just as much to certain Russian sites that have the nerve to sell copies of our products lifted from P2P networks. You won't get the latest version, you won't get support or updates, and even worse, they often charge more than we do! We have had one or two people duped like this; if it happened to you, contact us and we'll help you to sort it out.

We certainly don't recommend using pirated copies of our products.

WARNING! - petrologist

i'm about to buy iPartition to create an HFS+ non-journaled partition w/o Spotlight, to allow me to write defragmented disk images before burning them.

I have a tiny iBook, but had no trouble writing iDefrag to two CDs (backup copy), and it defragmented my hard disk w/o problems, though I have only half the required memory. iDefrag takes only 6.8 Mb on my disk, and I defragmented my PowerBook's 60 Gb drive in Firewire Target Disk Mode, though I've only 5.2 Gb available on my iBook. (Ice pack in towel beneath computer.) I only wish they would provide more information on what the various modes of defragmentation do. Actually, during my 30-year career as computer consultant, I never had any problem at all with a computer, though I packed them with software. Perhaps the problem is not with the product.
