It seems there was a version that deleted stuff - in his "apology" he says "it has been this way since 2/7/07." That appears to imply that before then, it did delete things. He also made his apology suspiciously vague. Why doesn't he clearly state what it did do before 2/7/07 - rather than saying it is untrue, just because he changed it recently. If it did delete things before 2/7/07, then the allegations were true, he's just trying to weasel out of it. If it never deleted things, then what relevance does this date have? Wouldn't he simply state that it has NEVER deleted files?
So, how is this forgivable, and why does it deserve a break?
