Thanks for the suggestion. First we thought bothering too much is a bad idea, and 90% of our testers could live with that. But since loosing productive data is a very bad thing, we implemented it. With the next update you'll get more obvious indicators whether you're working on a demo or not.
But a more general hint: It is not always a good idea to start productive work in a test version ;-)
