Amazing - osamabad

What I find amazing is that you found how to use this software without a manual or even the slightest help from a writeup.

Can you do me - and other would be users - the favour of a hint?

The opening window looks straightforward but seems very finicky about the type of text it accepts. No .rtf, no long text. But even with a short phrase in plain text there is always a lot of error report written in nerdglish, and no result. How did you manage?

I'm the developer, and I would like to answer your question.
First of all it's a very clever question. Everybody should ask himself if an application is reliable or not.
The best way to answer is to look at source code. My application is written in applescript, and the source code is available at my web site. The application includes a binary of outguess, which is open source stuff too. I've compiled it without modifying it, but to be sure and safe you should compile yourself from sources and then substitute the binary in the iSteg application bundle.
This way will make you sure 100% that no one is stealing information from you.
Another easy way is to enable network logging (firewall, sniffer, scanner or whatever)... you will notice that iSteg will not make any network traffic, for any reason.
I'm not asking anyone to trust me, I'm just suggesting the way to proof yourself the authenticity and safety of my application.
Thank you very much for using iSteg!
