Thanks to my whining here, Alsoft changed the terms on their web site from "you must by a copy per machine that could run the software " (Yes, I have that right, check all the comments here), to the more reasonable terms quoted here.
If you don't like it, I'll retract my whine and ask them to reinstate their previous terms. (no, I don't like being called a whiner without justification.)
