I used to be an avid user of Power Merge myself. And now these days I use Chronosync - A really WELL DONE program. From your feature request I can see your experience in the subject. Your suggestion for sync now of selected objects would be wonderful. I also miss the show next changed file a lot. May I ask, how important you consider some other / older features of PowerMerge or related subjects?
• On renamed folders: "The folder xxxx has been renamed to yyyyy… Do you wish to rename it to yyyyy on right (Target) side?"
• System-Type Files (Probably .___ files in osx in regular folders exclusion.
• The arrows that showed Sync direction. In the last 4 Months and in using Chronosync I always only sync from left to right.
• Rename Mac files/folders that include characters / >< ? : * to something allowed on the Fat32 or NTFS side.
• A write-protection (Sync-lock) of source HD or one selected side.
• I guess the function of Chronosync in handling moved files is OK. It deletes it on original location, and copies it to new location, while PowerMerge asked whether it may move the file.
• Delete Left; Delete right (rather than delete which asks which side or kind of delete)
very nice backup/sync utility - brendel
