Will NOT Install Properly on OSX - boxny

I too have the exact same problem with installing a new Flash player. In fact, I have found a lot of people online reporting this exactly but nobody seems to have an answer. If you know how to fix it, please post. I have tried repairing permissions and manually removing/uninstalling files. The same thing happens and I too am pulling my hair out. Someone please help!

I am having the same problem under my account on my MacBook Pro running OSX 10.4.10. BUT, my son uses a guest account on my laptop and he successfully installed Flash 9 under that account, and it works.
