TIFF files are for print, and JPEG are for screen. the JPEG standard doesn't support CMYK, and doesn't support DPI. although Photoshop will let you make CMYK JPEGs, the compression algorithm is based on a RGB colourspace and artifacts are much more visible in CMYK.
