Ah, welshbaloney needs 4 GB RAM in a 2 gHz iMac G5? Just where is he/she going to put it? The iMac G5 can take up to 2 GB RAM, unless it's the iSight model (only sold for about 5 months before the first Intel iMacs came out)--then, it can hold 2.5 GB because it has 512 MB on the logicboard.
As for "at least 4GB," even the lastest iMac, MacBook and MacBook Pro can hold only 4GB. The Mac Mini maxes out at 2 GB. Only the Mac Pro can hold more.
It's a good idea to check your facts before pontificating about things you apparently know diddly-squat about. A simple check of Apple's website or the Mactracker application would have let you avoid your error.
It would be FAR better for the developer to spend some time cleaning up the application so that it works more consistently and faster. NO application should require 4 GB. Photoshop runs OK in much less.
Oh, and if 1.5 GB is the minimum for the OS to work, why does Apple sell iMacs, Mac Minis & Mac Books with 1 GB RAM? I guess that Leopard just won't work in the majority of Macs sold today.
