Thanks to help from the developer, I was able to get back my data. It is stored and backed up; just wasn't sure how to get to it. There seem to be minor issues with opening up the widget--there's a slight delay before it asks you to restore the last data set. Wish it would just open up with a default or let you choose a set if you had multiple widgets open. I'm sure that'll happen with a future release.
If you need to easily graph and track data like how much time you exercise or work, this is a great widget. You can keep track of anything in units--time, times, reps, ...
