why is it called Igor? - Lee S

THe program is called Igor because the "scientist's assistant" is always called Igor.

AFAIK there's a Frankenstein parody where the scientist's assistant is called Igor ("Prankenstein" ??? or perhaps "Frankenstein's son"?), and where you scare the horses by calling the landlady's name (Blücher!!!)

why is it called Igor? - limon

I think that originally stood for : Interactive Graphic...something. But really Igor is the prototypical (mad) scientist helper... as in:

IGOR: Dr. Frankenstein

FREDDY: No, it's pronounced Fron kon steen.

FREDDY: You must be Igor.

IGOR: No, it's pronounced Aye gor.
