No "but". Interarchy is a very nice industrial strength solution. It happily transfers thousands of files in a single drag. Interarchy is highly configurable; has a sophistcated bookmarking system; network diagnostics; and also supports HTTP, HTTPS, WebDAV, and S3 (I haven't used S3 yet). It is what I use to get the job done. When friends/colleagues have problems transferring files with other FTP clients, Interarchy has always been a workable solution.Wednesday, September 06 2006 @ 11:52 AM PDT

nice, but.. - jspectre
i don't see how any of the other solutions are less than "industrial strength". you're talking about a file transfer program. one thing lacking from inter is SCP support, does that make it less "industrial"?Thursday, October 26 2006 @ 08:23 AM PDT

I have to agree with you. I used to be an Anarchy fan. Then it went screwy for a while before settling down. Nowadays it is just "another" ftp app that seems little better or worse than the others. As you say, may of which are free.Mac's introduction into the Unix world has made so many more available I couldn't recommend Interarchy over the others and some are better looking too.
BTW. My own current preference is for Fetch.
