If that's all.... - knowhowe

I agree. Support a product produced by sweat shop slaves? Uh uh.
I don't own an iPod either...

Actually... - CrazyMO

According to a C/Net article:

"Apple put out iTunes 6.0.5, an update that it said fixes a security problem that could be used in a denial-of-service attack or let an intruder run code on vulnerable systems.

"The AAC file parsing code in iTunes versions prior to 6.0.5 contains an integer overflow vulnerability," the company said on its security Web site. "Parsing a maliciously-crafted AAC file could cause iTunes to terminate or potentially execute arbitrary code. iTunes 6.0.5 addresses this issue by improving the validation checks used when loading AAC files."

The iTunes vulnerability affects Mac OS X versions 10.2.8 or later and Microsoft Windows XP and 2000"

If that's all.... - capy

Don't care if subsequent versions also support (cough) Nike - I'm just a little reluctant to download and install this particular version upgrade solely (no pun intended) for that particular "feature."

Now that I'm also reading it fixes an AAC overflow bug, I'd be more willing - that is, if I was running Windows, which I'm not.

So - I'll just pass on 6.0.5 for 6.0.6 when iTunes will add compatibility for the new McDonalds iPod. (giggle)
