like the other said, hold down the mouse butten at startup to open the drive.

and ever wondered why theres a tiny hole in a every CD/DVD drive? its to insert a paperclip to manually eject a disk while the machine is off.

your G5 came with a book called "manual". i suggest you read the section called "trouble shooting".

but i'm happy to take that "crappy" machine off you hands.....for the price of a new harddisk
