While I can't speak to it working on a dial-up (why!?) I can speak to it's simple, clean interface and it's tight integration with OSX.
Cabos shares the same layout and graphic look/feel as iTunes. Your review (and desire to use dial-up) makes me wonder if you're using the most current version, OSX and iTunes.
