If you have Unsanity's Application Enhancer, try adding Whamb to the Master Exclude list. The Whamb dev told me it could be caused by APE. Of course, Unsanity said their APE could never cause an app to crash, and tried to blame it on my USB speakers (Soundstiks), which I've had for 6 years. The instances of kernal panics on my eMac dropped, but I still do get the occasional KP when launching Whamb on that machine. However, never a problem with it on an old iMac or 17" PB.
BTW, Whamb runs great in Rosetta on my MBP. It's a shame this thing seems to have become vaporware, especially since I'm a registered user :-/
