Hey, Developer here. Check out my forum at: www.prettygoodsofware.org to get a feel for the strengths and weaknesses of iRatchet. Quite a few of my customer (myself included) are previous iBiz users.

iBiz - Stormchild

Although I've not yet had a chance to try out iRatchet very much, I can say that I've been looking for an alternative to iBiz for a long time now.

I started using iBiz when it was still called iWork. It seemed really nice at first, but I soon discovered several bugs, and unfortunately, even though I reported these bugs in great detail to IGG support and on their forum, many of them were never fixed, and on top of that, it seemed like each update would break two things for every one thing it fixed.

Although many of these bugs were just minor irritants, the fact that update after update failed to fix them meant I'd keep running into the same little problem over and over. In addition, there have been some more startling bugs that have caused people to use ALL of their data, client lists disappearing, all tasks disappearing from projects, etc. Totally unacceptable.

iBiz and IGG have completely lost my trust, and as such, I stopped using the program over a year ago. I do keep checking out each update as it gets released, but I'm never surprised to find the same old UI bugs still unfixed, and continue to see horror stories reported on the IGG forum about data loss, incorrect reporting, and so on. Registering that app was a huge waste of time and money. I have never gotten any benefit from using it.

iBiz is sloppy and unreliable (and unsurprisingly, iBank suffers from exactly the same kind of bugs, including incorrect calculation and loss of data), and I strongly urge everyone to stay away from it.
