Absolutely correct. Well said. I really miss ClarisDraw now that I have an intel. Would love to hear of an emulator that really works, so I can continue to use it.

I couldn't agree more. They got it right the first time. I have bought EazyDraw and MacDraft P.E. I have also tried Intaglio. I echo: nothing beats Claris Draw.

Given the model exists ie ClarisDraw, how hard would it be for a programmer to recreate it?

I agree with the other posters here. Apple has sacrificed simplicity and ease of use for a lot of useless window dressing and "features" that look good on paper but in reality are just plain annoying and unproductive.

These NEXT programmers seem to have a real problem with the User Interface.

Adobe is not far behind. Each new version of Illustrator grows more and more frustrating as they add tools to simplify difficult tasks but make simple tasks harder. And clutter the window with ever more @#$%! pallettes. I need a pallette search function.
