No upgrade option for uers of version 1 - kentm

I've been using Trans Lucy 1.x for since it was available for Mac OS X and all through the upgrades of Mac OS X, I have never had a single problem with it. The best part is seeing Windows users jaws drop when they see it running. From what I've read it won't be possible for Windows to do what Trans Lucy does until Vista is out. Sorry, now back on track with your comment regarding how you're such a "loyal" customer who purchased version 1. First of all, version 2 is "only" $15.00 You're telling me you can afford to buy a Mac, but aren't willing to pay $15.00 for a new software version? Granted, you claim to have issues with the software... Two. so have you tried contacting their support to see if you can get your issues resolved with Trans Lucy instead of complaining how $15.00 is going to break your bank? Seriously, we should be thankful that these developers realize how cool the Mac OS platform is and that they even bother developing for us.

If you want to complain, complain with some useful information and give some details for the developer here or try to contact them. Seriously, this software is really great and I'm going to happily pay the "steep" $15.00 for the new version or maybe even the $20.00 upgrade that they sarcastically offer in their FAQ regarding no special upgrade pricing. Software developers need to make a living too and spending $15.00, I seriously doubt, is going to send you out onto the street begging for change.

No upgrade option for uers of version 1 - reubenhalper

I concur that Trans Lucy 1 became less stable and crash prone. In my experience it with each subsequent release of OS 10.4.x, Trans Lucy behaved worse and worse. It seemed to consume more resources and crash more often. I also find it preposterous that rather than fix any bugs (c'mon man the last release was 1.0.2), the developers released a 2.0 version and made it a requirement to pay for the upgrade. I like Trans Lucy, but I don't like the way that Startly treats their customers. Trans Lucy 2, no thanks.

No upgrade option for uers of version 1 - donperreault

I certainly don 't mind purchasing quality software. However, I do not appreciate purchasing software, have problems with that software and then in order to resolve the problems I am forced to buy a new activation code at full price. Yes, that pisses me off.
