I would defintely not spend time on any programs that I didn't have a need for. Sounds like you should give this one a miss.

I am not a seasoned Mac professional, just a seasoned user. I guess that is why I have to read the documentation for some programs like Photoshop, or Acrobat to name two. This product appears to be much more straightforward that those.
