Specified ports opened, but Acquisition doesn't work... - ATPTourFan_

I also am unable to connect. I've never had a problem with Acquisition over the past 3 years. I'm on DMZ and have also just tried going to manual port forwarding, not that it should make a difference. I repaired permissions, but Acq will not connect.

I am sorry to say , same story over here , no connection except one old download started immediately, but connection does not finish and is therefore still red and empty ( User know what i mean). And yes , i have paid because it is by far the best application for "that " purpose.

when you said 'it worked! Repair permissions first...then delete ~/Library/Application Support/Acquistion Folder'... I'm still a little confused.. what does it mean to "Repair permissions?" thanks

Repaired permissions, deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Acquisition. For good measure, deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Acquistion Core and preferences. Set to connect to 5 peers in preferences. I can connect, I can search, but all downloads say "No active sources," even for extremely popular files (40+ sources). What gives?

I am also having the same connection problems. I've tried repairing permissions and deleting pref files, still no luck. Please keep the posts up on this list if anyone finds a fix!

Specified ports opened, but Acquisition doesn't work... - scojjtoe

hi i am having the same exact problem. of course i am also registered and have used acquisition successfully for a few years now. in addition to problems with 129.1, now all prior versions of acquisition don't open either. additionally, i've downloaded 129.2 and beta version of 130.1 hoping it would be corrected, but no luck. i have opened all ports. i have rebuilt permissions. i have trashed library/application support/acquisition. i have run first aid on my hard drive. this is driving me nuts. worst of all, i have contacted acquisition by e mail 3 times and haven't received an answer. i have posted a polite inquiry on the acquisition site and each time, it is deleted after 10 minits. what gives? i finally managed to connect, but also everything goes to no sources after a minute. it's just a waste of time. is this a universal problem? on acquisitions site, there are 7 posts indicating that trashing library and rebuilding permissions actually helps. it didn't help me!does anyone have any ideas or can you suggest an alternative p2p? i have no luck with limewire either. thanks scott
