The average Mac user would have no need for a program like this; iCal works just fine. Or they could get a .Mac accout if they wanted to publish their calendar.

I, also, don't know beans about php, but I do know html and unix. So for me, putting this on my school server (a linux box) is a piece of cake. It practically runs out of the box.

I have a copy on my home Mac to play around with (customize the appearance). Running it on my Mac is far harder, because I have to make sure the webserver is running, that it accepts .php scripts, and the right version of php is installed. In the last week, MAMP was updated, and that made this process a whole lot easier. But it still is not trivial.

I'm an average Mac user with no interest in .Mac as I have a web host already. This app was easy as pie to configure, upload and use. Now I can check my iCal via web from work with no hassles.
