Actually, I've always felt that Quicktime does a pretty exceptional job scaling a relatively small clip to full screen. it automatically softens each frame slightly to reduce visual pixellation during playback. Sure, viewing a 320x176 clip full screen won't look great, but a 720x320 clip looks just as good as a DVD scaled to full screen. And Apple offers many movie trailers in even higher resolutions than that, as do many other quicktime content providers.
