The journal Science has multiple citations per footnote number Science no longer does this; they stopped a year or so ago. However, Science does allow interspersing genuine footnotes n the reference footnotes. I don't know if Bookends will tolerate this (I haven't used Bookends, though I'm considering switching from Endnote). (For that matter, I don't know if or how Endnote would do that.)Wednesday, March 08 2006 @ 09:19 AM PST

I agree with the need for proper Scifinder import - you really can't do chemistry without it anymore. As for the multiple references per endnote/footnote (ie 1.(a) xxxx (b) xxx etc), I really wish *any* bibliography program would handle this correctly! Endnote does not, Bookends does not, Sente does not and none of them seem interested in implementing it. To make a proper paper one must resort to manually hacking the references in Word, ug. If anyone knows of a bibliography program that can handle proper citations like this, please chime in!Friday, June 30 2006 @ 07:57 AM PDT

I really want to buy this, but I, too, need that functionality (also being a chemist...). The journal Science has multiple citations per footnote number; it isn't just physical sciences. I hope the software author will take this seriously.Reply to This
