Perhaps its the singer not the song? Pages certainly opens appleworks files and is excellent value for money for middle of the road desktop publishing etc.

Try again and also try not to give pontificating comments unless you have thoroughly researched first.

DON'T BUY! - McClie

I have AppleWorks and it does not open all of my AppleWorks files. Usually ones from the days of ClarisWorks about version 1.0. I also now have Pages which I like as a DTP add-on to iLife, but it is not really a replacement for a general purpose wordprocessor, but worth the money with an educational discount.

DON'T BUY! - lepprd_dotmac

I bought Pages for the fantanstic templates and extraordinary graphics capabilities. It also open both Word and AppleWorks files so there are three reasons why Nisus is no longer in my Applications folder.
