I was wondering the same?

If you mean the ability to add items to the shelf and arrange them with spaces in between for organisational purposes, then I agree. I'd also like to be able to add "headings" in shelves, so that you could organise a group of items with a heading above them to explain what that collection is.

I think he means that you can't (apparently) re-arrange icons in pathfinder windows.
