I appreciate the comments about Tasks. Like you, I find the current (Daylite v1.9) implementation of managing Tasks frustrating and far too time consuming. I often resort to using OmniOutliner Pro (a wholly inadequate but sometimes faster solution) for tracking tasks instead of Daylite out of frustration. But that simply won't work for managing shared Tasks.I don't believe there have been fundammental improvements in managing Tasks in Daylite beta-1. That is not to say improvements won't be forthcoming. Marketcircle is certainly aware of the issue. I only hope it takes on a higher priority than it has so far. Good Task and, ultimately, workflow management is important to CRM.
At the least, in my view, the Activity Sets templates should allow one to create templates that can include Sub-Tasks. Second, it should be possible to link Tasks dynamically so that changes in one Task (ie, the date) changes all related Tasks relatively - if one so desires. Third, the bulk edit capability should allow me to change either the relative or absolute data of a Task. Currently, as I recall, it only adjusts Task dates relatively. Fourth, ah yes, the automation of recurring Tasks would be nice too!
More ideally, I'd like to see Daylite move towards better rules-based (conditional, if-then) Task workflow management (recurring Tasks are rules-based after all). A client of mine deployed SalesLogix in 1999 on their Windows platforms. At the time SalesLogix (www.saleslogix.com) enabled rules-based workflow displayed both in tablular and graphic form. I've no idea how SalesLogix works these days and how it compares to other Windows products.
But this is for the future ...
For now I'll settle for enhanced Activity Sets, enabling Tasks to be (or not to be) dynamically linked, improved bulk editing, and recurring Tasks. It would sure make setting up and modifying Tasks easier (and far less time consuming).

Oops one more thing about Tasks ... - spollak
I forgot. I'd like to be able to select a group of Contacts and then create an Activity Set or Task for the selected contacts. But I'd like the choice between Daylite making individual Task records for each Contact, in bulk as it were, or including all the Contacts in a single Task (or Activity Set).Currently, Daylite does the latter. But often one needs to create the same Task of Activity Set for multiple Contacts, but manage them differently.

I have worked with recurring activities in Daylite 1.9, but had to set them up as appointments. Modifying one of these activities is very inconvenient, since the modification needs to be done in the first appointment, and subsequent appointments are not truly independent.Based on your comment, I think we may be looking for similar functionality regarding recurring tasks. I have already mentioned this to Marketcircle, so you're not alone :-)
Great point about the fonts. I had forgotten about this issue. It would be great to be able to select different fonts, colors, or at the very least modify certain font sizes. In some cases I've wanted to view text on my screen, and had to double click the appointment in order to view the complete text. I wish I had been able to use a smaller size for that appointment.
