Life Balance KILLER??? - petercrocker
I for one am grateful for the mention of an alternative to Life Balance, even if it's Windows software. As others have stated, Life Balance development has been stagnant for the last 2 years, and with the advent of software such as Parallels and Crossover, running Windows apps on my Mac are a reasonable option.
I also am frustrated with the LB user forums now being worthless, since it appears the developers of Life Balance have opted for severe monitoring and limited posting to cut down on the tremendous criticizm that used to dominate their forums.
Life Balance is one of the single most important applications I've used in my life. It's sad to see such neglect from the developers over the months and years.
Thanks for the info of alternatives!

Life Balance KILLER??? - kenbotwinick
If you "have yet to determine the actual effectiveness of this program", then you should keep your mouth shut since you don't know what you're talking about.1) If you were a long time Life Balance user you would LOVE to have this information. I PERSONALLY would keep checking out the review of Life Balance here hoping some other disgruntled user would finally suggest a good replacement. Instead, I had to do a lot of searching to find a good replacement on my own so I thought I would share the wealth.
Llamagraphics USED to have a very active forum that one day just dissappeared with all forums becoming "protected" and the admins requesting enhancement requests via email instead of forum discussion. Now I believe that happened because some disgruntled users who posted on the forums and who were frustrated by the lack of development branched off and started MyLifeOrganized. There was probably some discussion of the competition on the forums, so they shut them down.
2) There is more than one Windows emulator listed on this site and there are many Mac users that have access to both platforms.
3) When I first started using Life Balance I bought a new Palm PDA specifically to use with it. Now that I found MyLifeOranized and it will only work on Windows Mobile, I'm thinking of buying one of those. So people that believe highly in the power of a good organization software will consider platform changes to accomodate it...
So again, if you don't know what you're talking about and don't have anything useful to say, do us all a favor and keep your mouth shut.
