Disco and DJ-1800 has performance problems, use Traktor beatport! - tismey

Just a couple of quick notes:

Dave from DJ-1800 wasn't complaining about use of 'interface ideas', he was complaining about his exact, pixel-for-pixel screen design being used in Disco for a short while a long time ago. It isn't anymore, so let's let that one lie now, shall we?

As for Traktor Beatport, it's worth remembering that the full version of traktor costs a pretty penny. NI have been more-than-adequately compensated for their development time on Traktor so if they want to give it away for free then that's their prerogative - to suggest that means that people like the Disco or DJ-1800 developers shouldn't charge for their products or that they should somehow be able to do it for free is ridiculous.

Also, I think you'll find both of these apps have keyboard shortcuts...

Hi Mikis,

DJ-1800 2.2.1's base spec is an 800Mhz G3, G4 or G5 or better with at least 256Mhz memory, so it's not too surprising that you might have problems with a 400Mhz computer :-) The same probably goes for Disco too.

Dave.
