i'm not sure where you get your info on who uses it in a professional environment, but just go to the adobe forums and do a search.
you'll find many people have used it in their production environment, and with the exception of the font agent pro fanboys (perhaps you are one?), just about every single person who uses FontExplorer really likes it.
i'm a font agent pro user, former suitcase and former atm deluxe user. i'm anxious to try this out.
please don't make generalizations about who is using this. it's simply not true.
