Thanks for your feedback Richard! See everyone why it's good to provide feedback, your feature requests make it into the mext version :)

Everyone has different ways of using their Mac, and a developer doesn't always think of the best way to lay things out to suit people.

On specifics, there is not going to be a way to have Skype not running. I can probably hide it better, but the actual connection is handled by the Skype.app executable and not the API libraries - so if Skype is not running then you don't have a login. Only the people at Skype can change that so I will drop them a suggestion (Although I guess they are too busy adding video chat to the client right now).

The next version has stalled a little because I upgraded my Mac and with it I upgraded to Tiger and Xcode 2.2. Unfortunately I have had a little teething problems getting the Xcode project to work in the new version. I have a 13 hour flight to San Francisco this weekend so that should allow me enough time to sort it out!
