Scary - Alorsoft

If you decide to manually remove Watcher, remove the startup item, but also remove the folder /Library/Application support/Watcher !

Watcher terminates your sessions when the startup item is missing (which means that something went wrong).

Hope this helps,

The developer.

PS: For your emails disappearing, this can't be linked with the use of Watcher.

Scary Relieved - tommcin2

Author sent the following that fixed my problem

First, you should have used the "Uninstall" menu from the Watcher app. As I posted on versiontracker.com, two components must be removed to uninstall the application. You found the first on in /Library/StartupItems/ but you also need to remove /Library/Application Suport/Watcher/ .
This will prevent your session from being closed after 60 seconds.

I asked the author to give more than a minute to accomplish finding the program and running install. He should also put a more blatant warning in the instructions for a program that takes such drastic action.

Like most, I just start a regular looking program and try it.

Thanks to the author for getting back so soon.
Tom
